Nascida em São Gotardo, Minas Gerais (1974) Brasil. 

Vive e trabalha em São Paulo.

 

Graduou em Arquitetura em 1999 e cursou Belas Artes de 2004 a 2007, ambas na Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG), Brasil.

 

Sua produção artística abrange seu conhecimento de arquitetura, física e matemática e suas observações sobre o tempo e a multiplicidade, para tecer sua visão de mundo. Seu trabalho transita entre diferentes escalas – do objeto aos espaços públicos. 

 

Nos últimos anos, mostrou seu trabalho em exposições no Brasil, Itália, Inglaterra, França, Estados Unidos, Holanda, Japão, Colômbia, entre outros lugares. Seu trabalho participa de importantes coleções privadas e institucionais como Museu de Arte do Rio (MAR), Fondation Carmignac, BIC Collection, Corinne Ricard, Sérgio Carvalho, Graeme W. Briggs, Jorge Gruenberg and Shom Hinduja.

Born in São Gotardo, Minas Gerais (1974) Brazil, she lives and works in São Paulo.

 

Janaina graduated in Architecture in 1999 and studied Fine Arts from 2004 to 2007, both at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), Brazil.

 

Her artistic output encompasses her knowledge of architecture, physics and mathematics and her observations about time and multiplicity, to weave her worldview. Her work transits between different scales – from the object to public spaces.

 

In recent years, she has shown her work in exhibitions in Brazil, Italy, U.K., France, United States, Netherlands, United Arab Emirate, Colombia, among other places. Her work is part of important private and institutional collections, such as Museu de Arte do Rio (MAR), Fondation Carmignac, the BIC collection, Corinne Ricard, Sérgio Carvalho, Graeme W. Briggs, Jorge Gruenberg and Shom Hinduja.
